Book Cover Redesign

I redesigned 3 of the Janet Evanovich Stephanie Plum novel series. I chose the first three books, One for the Money, Two for the Dough, and Three to get Deadly. I took the photos in downtown Kirksville and manipulated them to convey a sinister mood because the books deal a lot with crime and shady characters.

Pecha Kucha event poster series

I designed a series of posters for the Pecha Kucha St. Louis event series. I took specific information from a previous event on the website

Pecha Kucha events originated in Tokyo and have expanded to cities all over the world. These events allow designers to meet, network, and share work. The concept of 20 x 20 is also important to Pecha Kucha because the presentation format is 20 images- each up for 20 seconds. I wanted to make sure both the name of the event and the 20 x 20 was prominent in each design.

My concept for the series was to visualize the creative, expressive, even chaotic brainstorming/inspiration process of many in creative fields.

Tea Fusion Packaging

I created packaging for a fictional Chinese tea company called Tea Fusion. The two types I designed packaging for were green tea and black tea. The logo was designed with the chinese type in mind. I cut a window in the side of the packages to show the individual tea packets.

TSU Promotional Postcards

I've been away from my blog for a while, so I'm now going to post the projects from the second half of last semester.

I'll start with a set of promotional postcards for Truman.

I focused my postcard set on the types of activities students can get involved in at Truman. I believe getting involved is one of the most important things a student can do once they're away at college. The front of my eight postcards each feature a still life that depicts a chosen activity such as Greek Life, Recreation, and Campus Media. The backs of each postcard pulled an object from the front photo and set it against a simple band of color.

The postcards were 5 x 7 in, full color- duplexed, and feature my own photography
